OMG! Don’t you see what an incredible breakthrough this is? That cable goes through a tiny wormhole into another universe, connecting to an 11-dimensional flash memory module with more bytes of data than there are atoms in this universe!
I’d pay $9 for that.
looks like something Diebold would use
You would think that the MAC address would have tipped him off that it wasn’t a real flash drive.
A friend of mine bought several of those “Shake to charge” flashlights in Taiwan. I looked at it, the actual light was powered by a watch battery, the “slug” was not magnetic and both wires from the coil were tied together. He thought they would make neat presents after learing they were fake.
Um yea anyone who bought that thinking it was a flash drive got what was coming to them.
I’ve seen real flash drives jimmied to read as having more capacity than they really have, and I’ve seen 32MB drive guts put into cases labeled as having much higher capacity, but THIS is definitely the winner of the “biggest balls” award.
#3 Congratulations, you know what a MAC address is. Too bad 99% of people in the world would even have given it a second look.
I guess risk of data theft is less with this one than with others, though storage capacity is less. 😉
Is this the famous “Write Only Memory” we’ve heard so much about?
I need one to go with my “3-input NEVER gate”.
Just the next logical step
Wire = Wireless
Memory = Memoryless
I don’t see the issue
I have one of those crank flashlights and i took it apart. At first i thought it was a scam when i saw the little coin sized lithium battery. Then i started playing with the circuitry. The crank charges that battery. After a lot of use I can see the light dim, and I will have to crank it for 2min or so to charge the battery and get it back up to normal brightness.
You have to have a energy storage section (capacitor or rechargeable battery) or they will only work while you are cranking/shanking.
(Cut and pasted from the website listing)
“We have two type(reality one and fake one) of shake flashlight…”
1)shake flashlight grand “A”( reality one)
Spec:
1) its switch system is based on advanced magnetic induction technologies, so it has a long service life and reliable performance
2) shaking it for 30 seconds, and it keeps working for 15 minutes.
3) no battery inside the flashlight
4) there is a big capacitor inside the flashlight. Its use is to keep power from shaking and supply power to flashlight.
5) waterproof
6) warranty:1 year
Shake flashlight grand “B”(fake one)
Spec:
1) it’s a fake shake flashlight. Shaking is just a pattern, no actual use.
2) there are two coin type battaries inside the flashlight. Its use is to make the Flashlight work ; without the coin type battery, the flashlight couldn’t work,
3) battery inside the flashlight
4) there is a big capacitor inside the flashlight. Its use is to keep power from shaking and supply power to flashlight.
5) waterproof
6) warranty:1 year
What’s amusing is that according to the description, even the “fake” one has a capacitor (#4).
Cost to make the fake from best buy >31.99$ (e.g. a usb cable costs 31.99 or more at BB)
