Bullet x-ray

A Chinese grandmother who went to a hospital with a headache was found to have had a bullet in her head for 64 years. Jin Guangying, 77, of Shuyang town, Jiangsu province, went to to Shuyang Leniency Hospital for an x-ray.

Jin remembers that she was shot in 1943 during the Second World War by the invading Japanese army when she was taking supplies to her guerrilla father.

    More here.

If the brain had sensory nerves, this would have been exceedingly
    uncomfortable.

She’s lucky she never went in for an MRI or they would have found it quickly.

If she tries to get the Japanese to pay for her care, she will probably be told that their army never did things like that.

    Did You Know? Dept.

George Bush Sr. barely escaped capture on Ichi Jima island as a bomber pilot during the Pacific war. If he had not been rescued at sea and instead bailed out on the island, he might very well have been decapitated and eaten by Japanese Army officers (this from the book “Flyboys” by James Bradley, the same guy who wrote “Flags of Our Fathers”).

It’s interesting to think how things might have turned out today if such an outcome like that had happened back then with Bush

If I were a youngster in the Nihon culture nowadays, I would probably rather not know about that time myself.

What gives Bradley credibility as a historian, imho, is that he carefully chronicles all the stupid, cruel things that “christian” European explorers did in the name of our culture, as well.

She was probably carrying a box of chocolate. This happened a lot during the second world war, many soldiers died because of it. http://wantsome.ytmnd.com/

Which is the bullet? I would say it looks more like an index finger.
