Detroit News – April 12, 2007:

Lee Iacocca, author of the original business management best-seller, is giving President Bush an “F” in leadership.

In a book to be released Tuesday, the former Chrysler CEO — who supported Bush’s first campaign in 2000 but backed Sen. John Kerry four years later — accused Bush of leading the nation to war “on a pack of lies” and lacking the basic components of good leadership.

“I think our current President should visit the real world once in a while,” Iacocca writes, according to excerpts from “Where Have All the Leaders Gone?” released on the Web site of publisher Simon & Schuster.

Here’s my favorite quote:

“We’ve got a gang of clueless bozos steering our ship of state right over a cliff, we’ve got corporate gangsters stealing us blind, and we can’t even clean up after a hurricane much less build a hybrid car…I hardly recognize this country anymore…George Bush doesn’t have common sense. He just has a lot of sound bites…he prides himself on being faith-based, not reality based. If that doesn’t scare the crap out of you, I don’t know what will.”

31 – I love the way mouth-breathing faux “conservatives” make up positions for fictitious liberals who never existed and leave posturing as if they’d said something that meant anything.

    MikeN,

That was me that said that the names are under the comments. If I confused Jesse and Al, it’s not because I’m a racist. It’s because my memory, like most humans’, is imperfect.

I can tell Jesse and Al apart because Jesse is less racist than Al. Jesse’s support for Farrakhan notwithstanding, he has not made a career of racism.

Al Sharpton, on the other hand, thrives on racial tension and has done so throughout his entire career. If I were going to confuse people, I would be more likely to confuse Al Sharpton and Pat Buchanon.

LOVE LEE IACCOCA’S COMMENTS ABOUT “THROWING THE BUMS OUT OF OFFICE.” HOW CAN WE GET HIM TO START A NATIONAL MOVEMENT TO DO JUST SUCH THING? ALTHOUGH I AM 71 YEARS OLD, I AM READY TO JOIN SUCH A MOVEMENT TO DUMP THESE TRAITORS OF AMERICA. WE ALSO NEED TO THROW OUT OBAMA AND MS. HITLER. IF MCCAIN DOESN’T STRAIGTHEN UP — WE SHOULD ALSO THROW HIS ASS OUT. WE NEED SOMEONE LIKE LEE AND DR. RON PAUL TO JOIN TOGETHER AND GET THE YOUTH TOGETHER TO HELP US START THIS MOVEMENT.

THE CANDIDATE MUST CALL IN THE IRAQI GOVERNMENT READ THEM THE RIOT ACT AND MAKE THEM PAY FOR THE WAR; WE NEED SOMEONE WHO WILL STAND UP TO THE ASSHOLE TREE HUGGERS AND TELL THEM WE’RE DRILLING FOR OIL IN ALASK; WE NEED SOMEONE WHO WILL CLOSE THE BORDER AND TELL THE MEXICAN GOVERNMENT TO GET IT STRAIGHT OR GO TO HELL AND FINALLY=== WE NEED TO IDENTIFY THE CROOKS AND BUMS IN CONGRESS AND START IMPEACHMENT OF THESE TRAITORS. IF YOU FIND SOMEONE LIKE THIS, CONTACT ME: REV. RICHARD ANDRESKI AT: RANDRESKI1@AOL.COM. AMEN AND GOD BLESS YOU.

Being as I work for Chrysler and have been there thirty years, I know all about what a great businessman Lee is. He didn’t ask for money FROM our government…But rather that they back the loans he managed to pull together to save the sinking ship. I remember those times quite well. I could cash my check at a bar easier than I could at a bank. The bank wouldn’t cash a Chrysler paycheck unless you had enough in your checking account to cover the check, or were willing to deposit the “whole thing” and wait a number of days to draw on the account. Times were bad. Very bad.
Chrysler stock went down to $2.00 a share.
Unemployment had to offer extensions (sound familiar), and we had TRA, and a number of other programs to help the auto worker. I was laid off for almost three years straight. IT SUCKED! BIG TIME!
But Lee pulled it off. Got Chrysler back on their feet. Purchased the next largest auto company, and took that part of the competition
right out of the picture. Smart move. A hero? Maybe.
But then he did the unthinkable.
He pulled the oldest, biggest mistake that so many of our corporate leaders do. He did not practice what he preached. The do as I say, not as I do stuck it’s head up when he started buying Japanese parts to put on and in our “American made” cars. And he then went on touting “Buy American” non-stop. Now that was stupid with two o’s. What? He thought that the American people wouldn’t see Nippon on their speedometer. We all knew it was just a matter of time. Now look around…would you?
The thing that makes me mad the most though, is that I allowed Lee to con me into weekly donations being taken right out of my paycheck to go towards rebuilding one of the major Illuminati symbols that has mesmerized Americans for years. I am talking about that giant depiction of a luciferian goddess holding up THE key Illuminati symbol of all time, the eternal flame. (like the one that just went around the world ). The same symbolism used to keep everyone in line under the belief that we are free. That being the statue of liberty. A gift to America from French Freemasons. Now that made me sick. If I only knew then what I know now. I sure would not have given my hard earned money to such a project. I wish I could get it back, because I want no part of that kind of idiotic control mechanism. I left the Libertarian party because they use that symbol as their logo. And believe me…someone at the top within the party knows exactly what that stands for.
Lee is quite right in much of what he has stated. But vote for him if he ran for office?
    NOT!

I am also ready to join the revolt! Why don’t we INSIST the people who took the money give it back!! There are records of every bank transaction – so we know where the money went. Individuals as well as companies should be held accountable!
