5th-graders charged with having sex in Louisiana classroom | KOMO-TV – Seattle, Washington | National & World News — This should be on NBC. I mean really. That said this apparently took place because the children were unattended. To me this says that outside of school where children are often unattended there must be a lot of open sex going on! Cripes.
Five fifth-grade students face criminal charges after authorities said four of them had sex in front of other students in an unsupervised classroom and kept a classmate posted as a lookout for teachers.
The students were arrested Tuesday at the Spearsville school in rural north Louisiana, authorities said. Two 11-year-old girls, a 12-year-old boy and a 13-year old boy were charged with obscenity, a felony. An 11-year-old boy, the alleged guard, was charged with being an accessory.
Cummon.. There is no “The students”or “Spearsville”

#3 — it’s funnier that way, not bigoted. When the hyper-religious take over an entire area of the country and brag about it then they are subject to focused attention. If there was a modicum of humility this sort of moderate needling would not happen. And I guess you find moderate needling a problem? Interesting in itself. Thanks for the input. I changed it to just “school.” Not sure Louisiana is in the Bible belt as it were.

North Louisiana is indeed the bible belt. Louisiana, North and South of Alexandria really ought to be two different states, if not countries.
The really funny part of this is that this very small school district recently had an uproar when the district didn’t join with a larger nearby district because the citizens didn’t want their children to miss out on the “small school expereince.”
What are 12 and 13 yr olds doing in Gr. 5?
I think the school is most upset that the students didn’t follow their abstinence program.

Wouldn’t you hate to be the lookout? Not only was he charged as an accessory to a felony, but he missed seeing most of the hot student-on-student action.
This whole story is incredible. I thought classroom sex only happened in Tennessee (lights fuse and runs) 😉
North and South Louisiana are indeed two very different places. People from South Louisiana, especially SE LA, rarely even consider themselves southerners. The accents are more like Brooklyn or Jersey than Mississippi southern; and so are the people themselves, if that says much.
