If you have ever had your laptop refuse to recognize a USB device you plugged into your unpowered hub, you’ll appreciate this device. Powered by four AAA batteries, the Cyberpower 420 MP hub will not only let you use all your gadgets simultaneously, it extends your laptop operating time. The company didn’t have details on availability when I saw it at CeBIT (it’s the device held by one of the ladies in this link) but now they have a page about the device on their site, and it is now available here in the US.

“Soon to be available here in the U.S.”?

I got mine a year ago from NewEgg.
Froogle knows all about them, too!

  2. Smartalix says:

I just checked newegg, and the only powered Cyberpower USB hub I found needed a wall adapter. On the Frooge page, they say “The latest product innovation from CyberPower Systems”. If you can show me the device has been around a while, I’ll stand corrected. Can you link to an earlier review? The product was presented to me as new.

PS: no matter how long it’s been around, it’s still a cool device.

This Product seems like a no brainer.. (but i don’t use a laptop)

i used to make battery supplement units for my portable cassette player (not a walkman) when i was 10 years old using d-cells instead of AA’s.. anything that needs dc current (a warthog/adapter) will run on batteries.. just control the millivolts

  4. Wes says:

I’ve had one for about two or more years now I believe, same make and model.

But I agree, pretty cool product.
