KOLKATA, India — When dozens of chickens went missing from a remote West Bengal village, everyone blamed the neighborhood dogs.
The family decided to stand guard at night on Monday at the cow shed which also served as a hen coop, after 48 chickens went missing in a month.
“Instead of the dogs, we watched in horror as the calf, whom we had fondly named Lal, sneak to the coop and grab the little ones with the precision of a jungle cat,” Gour Ghosh, his brother, said.
“The local vets said the cow was probably suffering from a disease but others said Lal was a tiger in his previous birth,” Ajit added.
You could feature him in a Chik-Fil-A commercial.
Cows gone wild!
And this time it’s not Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan & Britney Spears.
I wonder how delicious a nice slice of veal from that cow would be. Why dont we have cowkin’s yet. Chiken and steak all in one cut of meat. Imagine the culinary possibilities!
Oh, no.. the old Vampire Cow from the Howard The Duck comic series is REAL!
J/P=?
Mmm this chicken fried steak tastes like chicken!
Interesting. I don’t know how well a ruminant can digest meat, but they can even if they don’t usually. People practising intensive farming have fed rendered fat, meat, blood, and bonemeal to cows. Not a good idea, since this isn’t what they tend to eat if left to their own devices, and the practise was banned in a number of jurisdictions in the wake of “mad cow disease”.

The Tibetans used to train their horses to eat meat when the grazing was under snow. Sven Hedin, among others, observed it.
#2 in India cows are sacred. I would not try to kill one just to see how it taste..
Combine this with mad cow disease and I’d say “Houston, we have a problem”.

Does this means that Hillary Clinton is a holy woman in India?
Oh No.. Mad Cow flu.. Or worse.. what happens If the Cow bites a chicken and it got away and created Mad Chicken Disease.
Vaca los chupapollo!
Reminds me of squirrels, which are generally vegetarian, EXCEPT…
It’s the exceptions that will get you. A squirrel mom with a drey full of new pups, for example, will sometimes go after protein (bird nests), for the simple reason that she needs the protein. No disease required.
Maybe a cheap movie in there somewhere.
Tiger, shmiger. I think the cow was my old friend, Andy Reid, in a past life. Sneaking up on chickens and eating them live sounds like that guy’s idea of a good three-day weekend. I’ve got other stories about him, too …
carnivorous cows, bird flu and monkeys with spears i blame Osama Binwhoha
andy reid would have on the large, over size hip wadders on …..
