Cow, just chilling, no dope involved (I hope)

Ban on feeding cows dope – Ananova

Switzerland’s Agriculture Ministry has called on the country’s farmers to stop feeding their cows cannabis.

“Farmers consider the cheap and easy to grow plant is good for their cows.
They believe the active ingredient in cannabis, THC, makes cows happy and produce more milk, but the Agriculture Ministry say THC can get into the milk and create a health risk.
They also said that there was a risk that Swiss cheese products could be contaminated.

“Ya man, they have discovered the secret ingredient that makes our cheese so delicious”

So this explains the California “happy cows” dairy commercials…

Especially that one where they’re playing “Marco Polo” in the haze.

  2. moss says:

    That’s not “contamination” — that’s enhancement.

  3. OhForTheLoveOf says:

Agriculture Ministry say THC can get into the milk and create a health risk.

Jokes aside, every credible source knows that THC is not a health risk nor can you get “high” off meat or milk from a cow that ate cannibis.

Jokes back on, aren’t these the same cows they use to make Happy Meals?

  4. Improbus says:

    Priase Ja, mahn!

  5. Raff says:

Stoned cows are less likely to be mad cows..

  6. Mike cannali says:

    Got Milk?
    Get High!

    Cheese and Chong!

    J/P=?

  8. TJGeezer says:

“The hills are alive / with the sounds of munchies…”

Well, hey, they can spray the hills with agent orange (dioxin?) like U.S. drug warriors are doing so successfully in Colombia and other South American places. That strategy is really working. Isn’t it?

  9. OhForTheLoveOf says:

    #8 – Like charm 🙂

    …a bad luck charm…

  10. Mr. Fusion says:

    #7, Best quip award.

The downside is the milk may get contaminated. Yes, drink a glass and then do your piss test at work or school. Then explain how it was the milk.

But seriously, if the cows enjoy it, why not?

  11. joshua says:

I’ve been around cows my whole life. How can you tell if a cow is stoned or not??? They never change expressions.

  12. richard davis says:

If cows were fed cannabis instead of antibiotics and growth hormone the drug companies and medical community would declare milk and dairy unfit for human consumption.
