Heartbeat’s One and Two – 50’s and 60’s – Unicorns Page 2 — OK, I’m giving this site an award for something. Throwback of the decade perhaps. You have to visit this site and start digging into it to appreciate it for the retro marvel it actually is. Old-fashioned HTML, animated GIFs galore, a bouncing smiley face, MIDI in the background, Unicorns! My god, are these people serious? That said, I do not want to discourage their direction. It’s kind of like a Wall Drug of the Internet — a must see!
Could Anything Be Worse — OR BETTER!?!? Web Site of the Month.

There goes their bandwidth allotment for the rest of the year.
They definitely deserve their place on http://www.webpagesthatsuck.com/.
Ladies and gentlemen, the ’90s pretending to be the ’50s and ’60s have left building.
I don’t see what’s so special about this – half of all the webpages on MySpace look just like it.
Sheesh, yet another clunky general midi tune catching me with the volume control turned up. Excuse me, I have to go take an aspirin.
I can’t imagine why anyone could go on creating GM’s (or listening to them!). I thought the format would eventually die of it’s own horribleness. Guess some still like the small files etc.
(however, if one has a sequencer and high-quality synths, they can be revoiced to sound better. But it does takes some work, and nothing will help if it’s a lousy composition to begin with).
Okay John. I dug into it and from what I can tell it is ran by a married couple who REFUSE to let go of their youth. The wife does the web design. It is intricate however.
Agreed #4! It amazes me how many people think that “MySpace” IS the Internet. The pages and interface are so crummy and people flock to it like its the greatest thing since sliced bread!
Damn that was painful.
Hey is that Ron Jeremy at the top of the page?
Yeah, well, thanks Dvorak! Now, I’ve got a big ol’ bruise on my chin from a dropping jaw. You would have to point me there! You KNEW I’d look!
And mah head hurrts.
rrr Go find a mirror, look in it, slap yourself, and say: “I’ll never do this to Kenny again.”
A hundred times.
Screw all that. The Wall Drug link, now that’s something much better. They sell jackalope bobble heads! OMG ROFLMAO!!!111one
Where is the spinning globe? I seem to remember that in 1997 most sites had spinning globes, like this one.
Oh wow!
That website is almost as cluttered at http://www.pcmag.com! 😉
