A LANDLADY has been cleared of abusing two lesbian cops who she claimed groped each other in her pub.
PCs Lisa Curchun and Nicola Stewart complained to colleagues after being thrown out of the Old Cock Inn in Harpenden, Hertfordshire. Landlady Nicola Hackett, 38, who said customers complained about the pair’s passionate embraces, was charged with conduct likely to cause distress, harassment and alarm.
But yesterday, she spoke of her relief after she was cleared by magistrates in St Albans.
The two cops had claimed they only kissed briefly and held hands. But drinkers in the pub said they saw one of them grope the other’s inner thigh under her culottes.
