Now, where’s the sign that says ‘ignore nagging wife’?

First ‘ignore your sat nav’ roadsigns go up – ThisIsLondon.co.uk – The perils of the digital age, where people blindly trust technology to provide them with answers.

If lorry drivers can tear their eyes away from the satellite navigation system while approaching the village of Exton, they could well save themselves hours of trouble.

There at the side of the road are the first signs in the country specifically warning them to ignore the satnav.

Owing to a fault in the electronic information system, many drivers are sent through the Hampshire hamlet only to find the lane narrows to 6ft and they get stuck.

There’s no better equipment than the Mark I eyeball. Get your eyes on the road, where they should be.

We’ve covered this phenomena previously. Here’s an example of UK drivers driving into a river because they were following their SatNav device.

What was stopping them from looking out the front window? Do cars in the UK even have windshields?! What happens when a car stops in front of you? Or a dog runs out into the street? I just cannot understand how someone could rely on a SatNav device more than their own eyes.
