With the rise of fascist like governments in Latin America, this type of ‘discovery’ seems suspicious to me.
A ‘diary’ said to have been written by fascist dictator Benito Mussolini (1883-1945) has been found, Italian reports said Sunday.
Rome newspaper La Repubblica said the diary contained writings between the years 1935 and 1939. Roman senator Marcello Dell’Utri has claimed that it was given to him in Bellinzona, Switzerland.
‘I have read the work thoroughly and been very impressed by the observations made daily by Il Duce,’ Dell’Utri said.

Actually, the University of Wisconsin-Madison refers to a source that has:
“Scores of illustrations of Mussolini and his mistresses, and great detail about his romantic relationships with Italian, French, and German women.”

As for the “diary”, I’m not convinced. If it is a fake it wouldn’t be the first: the last WWII “diary” of a dictator definitely was even though Lord Dacre (Hugh Trevor Roper) authenticated it is a genuine to the (London) Times.
#4 – Do you mean the fake Hitler “diary” that surfaced a few years ago and then was shown to be faked? I forget the details but it made quite a splash at the time.
