1. Reality says:

I have lived in Texas all my life and it’s embarrassing to see a city like Waco continue to get a bad name from stupidity.

That teacher is the biggest loser ever and we don’t need losers teaching our young kids.

  2. yeah... waco says:

Yeah, that whole David Koresh and the Branch Davidians had the town looking pretty good until this.

  3. Elwipo says:

Wow, what’s next a lawsuit against family members for kisses and hugs during the holidays?

  4. Aaron says:

    #4
    God I hope so!

  5. wbskeet37 says:

Yes but what about that last comment about not wanting someone to look back at his child’s record and say “this started happening when he was 4…”
    Is he predicting the future???

  6. Deinonych says:

If the teacher interprets a hug from a 4-year old as sexual, that teacher has serious issues. 4-year olds don’t know any better. Ridiculous, but typical of our wonderful government schools.

  7. humph says:

a race thing???? just putting that out there.

  8. elwipo says:

    #8 I don’t think it’s a race thing. I think it’s an idiot thing!

  9. YeahRight says:

This is a sad sad story. If the “teacher” has issues, that person should change jobs !

I hope that person never applies for a high school position, because if she does, I can hear the lawsuits now !

  10. Mr. Fusion says:

    To repeat myself.

If the school doesn’t react appropriately, such as removing the paper and retraining the teacher, then expect a lawsuit. Even if there isn’t a lawsuit, matters like this take up so much of everyone’s time and money that could have been better spent in the classroom. With the lawsuit, look for the money that could have been better spent in the school district to vanish.

If the Principal refuses to get involved, then the Superintendent should become involved for the sake of the school.

    #6,
The father makes a very good point. The child is supposedly black and therefore already has one strike against him. If there happens to be another incident, deserved or not, the child will already be marked as a trouble maker. Even if the child transfers to another school, the record will follow him. Unless of course, either the Superintendent or a Judge corrects the record.

Just what I need… an X-rated Xmas tree!
Would that make it an XXXmas tree?

  12. ryan says:

that teacher is bordering on molester status if she gets sexual vibes from a 4-year old’s hug. what is with these teachers? what in the world are they hoping to gain by doing this? it makes zero sense to me.

    heh…blackwell

  13. Chris says:

}} That teacher is the biggest loser ever and we don’t need losers teaching our young kids.

Perhaps if teachers where paid more, then teaching wouldn’t attract people that you consider to be loosers?

  14. ethanol says:

    #15,

Like politicians? The U.S. House gave itself a raise to $168,500 per year.

  15. wbskeet37 says:

#12 — Mr. Fusion not what I meant at all. Is the father resigned to the fact that his child –will– get in trouble in the future and this will be pointed to as the starting point? I would like to think that a father (being one myself) hope better for his child.

  16. ECA says:

Where int eh World is a HEAD from a 4 year old going to hit, in a hug…
Its either his head or His dick, is going to be in the middle of her breasts…
    This is a 4 year old…Like DUH…

  17. bob says:

    was the teacher white?

  18. Smokalot says:

There’s more to the story. This is the story of a ‘ jilted ‘ woman. She wanted his babies, but when he told her he was gay she decided to get even.
Your tax dollars at work. Excuse me while I go vomit.

Wow – My political biased bullshit alarm is screaming.

As someone educated at “government” schools, I can deduce that if this story were typical, it would be indicative of something that happened frequently in many places, and would thus be normal, and as such, not newsworthy.

    Thus, it isn’t typical.

Grind your axe agaist the education system all you want, but at least be honest about it.

}}Perhaps if teachers where paid more, then teaching wouldn’t attract people that you consider to be loosers?

…or attract people who can’t seem to teach you the difference between “loser” and “looser”, even when it’s spelled out for you.

  21. stew says:

Surprised no one has outed the “teacher”? that is the one that has the problem.

  22. ECA says:

    24,
    YEP….Or at least gotten her a counsilor….
If a 4 year old can intimidate her….

  23. Calie says:

I was absolutely astounded by this lawsuit when I heard about it!! Children belong at home at that age where they cuddle with their mom and dad and learn their ABC’s and 123’s in peace. A four year old is still a toddler. They don’t have capacity to understand Sexuality – even if they are exposed to viewing sexuality on television shows or commercials – they can not understand even then, enough to purposely offend someone!! They are still in their basic needs stages. The teacher or teacher aid is in the wrong line of work. At the most the teacher should have just pulled little “johnny” aside and explained that it is not appropriate hug a teacher this way. Let me show you the appropriate way… After all – if teacher’s are taking on children that young then they need to be prepared to teach them about appropriate behaviour in society – not just grammar and math!!

I hope the judge sets this person straight! Of course there must be another side to this story…I just can’t picture another side that would make me change my response!

    Absurd!!

  24. common sense says:

Unbelievable! All of those people need to be fired! The aide should be jailed! Waco – wow! unbelievable stupidity.
