There were a lot of interesting booths at the 2006 Electronica Show, each trying to get the attention of passers-by in what was a huge and busy event.
This booth had a huge pool in the front where they held radio-controlled yacht racing. Go figure.
Almost every booth had its share of charming ladies…
…although the band at the STMicroelectronics party took the cake for classy. These ladies played some great New Orleans-style jazz.
It wasn’t all just pretty ladies, though. At the Sipex booth, they had one of their engineers demonstrating their developing mixed-signal power management technology intended to address the growing field of digital power management.

I love this stuff! Where else can you talk about advanced technology while partying your ass off? It’s a geek’s dream. I love trade shows here in the US as well, but the Europeans don’t have qualms about mixing business and pleasure the way we do.
