This year’s Embedded systems conference was held in Boston at the Hynes Convention Center from September 18-21, 2007, the Fall’s largest embedded event. Over 140 exhibitors, including Intel, AMD, Digital Logic, Green Hills, Kontron, Lynux Works, Mentor Graphics, NXP Semiconductors, Renesas, SMSC, Sun Microsystems, and VIA came out to show their wares and educate the attendees.

Many of the exhibitors held short product seminars at their booths to educate visiting engineers on the benefits of their technology.

For example, Green Hills Software was giving presentations on their RTOS family and middleware, MULTI IDE, optimizing compilers, TimeMachine debugger, hardware debug probes and custom engineering services. The products enable software developers to produce totally reliable, absolutely secure and maximum performance products

Of course, charming booth attendants were on hand to hand out material and coax attendees to participate!

The grinning man’s eyepiece is interesting, but I gotta say the concept played better on Seven of Nine.

  2. Mike Voice says:

    SMSC:
…semiconductor solutions that distribute video, sound, photos and data in the home, automobile, office and factory.

The LAN9131 10/100 network multimedia co-processor employs RipStream technology, combining support for multiple HD streams,…

Interesting to see how this stuff migrates into homes, especially with Intel launching their “contest”.

I think this image proves how geeky a person can look and be condoned by Dvorak without zipping around on a Segway.
