Cute, but I still prefer using my own imagination when I build stuff out of Lego.

  2. Dale says:

    IT’S A TRAP!!

  3. Metrobilly says:

    Wow, only $300 dollars!

  4. masteroffm says:

    “Wow, only $300 dollars”

just watch the lego site around thanksgiving, i was able to get my wife the star destroyerfor less than $250 with free shipping. funny thing is the price people try to sell the star destroyer and the death star 2 for on ebay. typically the want $400-600 (buy-it-now) plus something god awful for shipping, yet you can buy direct from lego for $300 and typically free shipping.

  5. Rick says:

…and all it takes, nevermind a small fighter with photon torpeedos, is one little brother to come screaming into the room..and it’s curtains for the Empire.

  6. tcc3 says:

    That’s no moon.

  7. Vince says:

My younger brother bought that last year, it’s huge; Something you want to avoid is accidently knocking over as its rather fragile.

  8. DeLeMa says:

So…I wonder if you can actually complete the construction ??
Looks really time-consuming but, very cool !

  9. Max Bell says:

What is making me crazy is now I can’t remember if the laser on the second death star was ever operational.

This model makes no sense because had the DSII ever fired as depicted, Endor would have been dust if the MF blew it up or not.

Then again, I have been up to my cortex in 24bit audio/midi and XML wrappers for 72 hours. My brain feels like someone kicked it in the nuts.

  10. ZeOverMind says:

Here’s an interesting website to put the size of the Death Star into perspective with other famous scifi Ships:
    http://www.merzo.net

The Death Star is featured in the 100 pixels per meter size comparisons chart.

  11. @$tr0Gh0$t says:

I have a bad feeling about this!

  12. Rick says:

#9- Yes, the second one was operational…that was the big surprise…then they started blowing up the space ships that had come (“it’s a trap!”)…

  13. Angel H. Wong says:

Ha! All you need to destroy the entire empire is a borg cube, why? BECAUSE IN THE STAR TREK UNIVERSE LASERS ARE OBSOLETE.

  14. Mule Acid says:

Luke Skywalker should be tried for “Genocide” after killing all those people, clones or no clones!

  15. ZeOverMind says:

I don’t think I’ve seen a borg cube blow away a planet. Now a Shadow Death cloud or a Vorlon Planet killer, those are pretty kewl.
