A projector the size of a sugar cube — FYI. Think of the uses.

No larger than a sugar cube, the video projector is ready to hand at all times. Instead of the conventional microarrays, it contains just a single mirror which can be rotated around two axes. This makes it smaller, lighter and handier than traditional.

Cool, one great step closer to awesome 3D hollographic TV sets.

I remember that great ST Voyager episode where they project in space a hollographic replica so the enemy shoots that first.

Scaled down, the military could mount these on their small robots, project insults on the wall that will make the enemy sniper give away his position. Or such similar nonsense to enrage the enemy to shoot / shout.
Windows Marquee taken to a whole new level.

Bad – publicity. Live motion ad videos on the subway ceilings.

Trashy alleyway, fire drums with homeless derelicts gathered ’round, rubbing their hands both for warmth and in glee over the porno dancers gyrating on the shabby walls, thanks to the new projectors handed out by the “Help The Homeless” crowd.

    Omar, Phone Home!!

  4. Amishman says:

I can’t think of any use for this.

  5. Locke says:

Ashman, I hope you are being sarcastic. This kind of thing, added to an ipod, or other portable mdia player would take portable tv to a whole new level. Now, all you need is a flat, light surface!

  6. tkane says:

What kind of coin is that?

  7. Mike Voice says:

5 Ashman, I hope you are being sarcastic…

Well, since it is “amishman”, not “ashman”, I think it is safe to assume sarcasm. 😛

  8. Mr. Neolib Fusion says:

How much power per lumen does it use? How many lumens can it produce?

  9. Angel H. Wong says:

Now you can mix that projector to your iPod or your Cell phone and you can watch pron in any bathroom, no more squinting at smut into that tiny LCD screen 😉

I believe that has answered your question as to were to find a flat surface 😉
