    House cats with dink-ass brains can hold a grudge. These big guys are indeed smart enough to know what they are doing. That cat was out to get that guy who had probably abused the cat earlier. It wasn’t bad luck.

    being an animal rights fanatic….this vodeo made me extreamly happy.
    There’s nothing more satisfing than an animal who gets his day in court so to speak.
    John’s right, the cat knew exactly who it wanted and why. Anyone who believes that BS about animals not having the ability to remember it’s tormentors has never spent any time with them.

    And j…..thats a cheetah….they is da fastest little kitties going.

    Those leopards don’t fuck around, apparently. It reminds me of a story I once heard a about a Hemingway-type guy who went on an African hunting trip, took his twelve year old son with him (possibly to ‘initiate’ the boy to the rough ‘n wild world). They were sitting around a campfire, and all of a sudden a leopard appeared, grabbed the boy by the neck and ran off with him. The father was really pissed (as you could imagine!) and went looking for that leopard.

    It was said that he came across his son in a tree, half eaten. So what does he do? Buries himself in a termite mound nearby, with a high powered rifle at the ready, waiting for the cat to come back for another meal. All of a sudden the leopard appears again, this time from behind him, and proceeds to maul the shit out of poor old Poppa.

    Who knows if it’s an actually true tale, but an interesting one all the same. Couldn’t help thinking of it when watching that vid.

    #16…j….they were trying to release it back to the wild….the problem was they poked it and angered it….and we don’t know what they may have done to it before the video was shot. Also if it was coming out of a drug sleep…they can be very nasty at that time. But the clincher is the fact the cat ignored everyone but the guy we see poking it…..looks like a case of…*who the hell you poken dude* to me.

    Yeah poking it was not a real smart thing to do but I think he was just trying to get it to leave the cage.

    Perhaps next time they should just put a large chunk of meat twenty feet from the truck and then stay in the cab with the windows rolled up.

    I was in Walnut Canyon Arizona a couple of years ago and I will never forget a sign I saw.

    It said if you are approached by a mountain lion

    1. Raise your hands and wave them
    2. Talking very loud.
    3. Back up slowly while facing it.
    4. Do not turn around and run.

    Maybe they should have tried that . LOL

    I’ve been in Africa quite a few times and probably to the same spot this guy was if I got the uniform right. The Krüger Park in South Africa has the most dangerous aminals on the face of this planet as it has predators that have lost their natural fear of humans

    There were two things the guy could have done:
    1/ Wait until the cat got out by itself. (Patience is such a virtue…)
    2/ Put the truck in first gear and slammed the pedal to the metal. The cat would have fallen out en run off.

    The video is too grainy to see whether it was a leopard or a cheetah, but cheetahs can get speeds of up to 70mph (120 Km/h) in a very short time…

    My guess is that it is a leopard. The body is a little bulky for a cheetah. especially the neck area.

    Unless it is a cheetah that has been eating people a lot. 🙂
