The Crucible : Fire Arts Festival 2006 : Festival Schedule —
I visited this site last night and have to say, it’s incredible. I’ll post a few movies on Youtube later, but let me tell you, it’s a lot of astonishing displays of fire and things blowing up. If any of the blog readers are in the SF Bay Area I’d advise a visit while the show is running. This is essentially a concentrated version of Burning Man (many of the same artists) without the naked guys on bicycles.

Towering pillars of flame, cracking bolts of electricity, bodies dancing through fire — experience a four-day celebration of creation through fire & light. Come during the day to learn new skills at special Crucible workshops and classes. Return at night as the Fire Arts Arena lights up with fire performance, music, and the works of innovative fire sculptors.
