Chicago Sun-Times – May 27, 2006:
A Chicago Police officer roughed up a parking ticket supervisor last week, the supervisor alleged, arresting her and throwing her into a police wagon when she refused to void a ticket on an officer’s car.
The alleged victim, Jackie Fegan of the city’s Traffic Management Authority, plans to sue the city, her lawyer said. She wept Friday as she described the incident, in which four officers allegedly took part.
On May 18, Fegan was driving on Superior near Michigan when four police officers waved her down, she said. Reid told her a minivan parked at 700 N. Michigan had been ticketed, even though it belonged to an officer who was there on police business, she said.
The minivan did not have police markings or license plates and was parked illegally, she said.
“She was the victim of a kidnapping, an aggravated battery, a brutal and a false arrest, simply because she was doing her job and would not fix a ticket for a Chicago Police officer,” said her lawyer, Craig Tobin.

Rosco P Coltrane knew the ticket wasn’t worth the paper it was printed on. He just threw a tantrum when the lowly traffic officer didn’t say uncle when he waved his little police stick.

No. That is what happens when the infamous “Blue Wall” goes up. This is not unique to big city departments. This is a phenomena of all police departments, big and small. Sure there are a lot of great cops, but too often when one of their own is confronted, they will stand up for him and seldom lose.
In Australia Metermaids are girls in bikinis and roller skates who reload parking meters so ppl wont get tickets. ppl love em.
that being said, i hate parking cops and am sure that this one had it coming. i consider parking cops to be complete scum.
