Funeral Home Owner Shocked by Discovery

Debra White was walking her dog Thursday morning when she noticed a shattered window on her funeral home’s back garage. When she looked inside, she saw a person’s knees sticking out of one of the caskets.

“I was actually scared. I didn’t know if he was in there passed out drunk or was he dead. I mean there was blood all over the glass on the floor,” White said.

White immediately ran into her house and called the police. When they arrived on the scene, they found Joel Fish, 20, a student at SUNY Canton, asleep in the casket. His hand was cut and bleeding from breaking the garage window.

“They found Mr. Fish still lying in the casket, still passed out and, or sleeping, from the affects of alcohol. It took them quite a while to wake him up, and from what I understand, he was wondering why he had to wake up, apparently not being aware of his surroundings,” said Canton Police Chief Alan Mulkin.

Well, thank God. At first I thought it was Ima Fish !

Well, Last year John published a story I submitted about a funeral home where there were bodies left after it closed down. Last week, there was an incident at a Flint, Mi closed down funeral home where a dozen cremated bodies were left behind when the funeral home closed two years ago!!!!

When I was a student, I remember drinking a bottle of tequila EACH with a few friends and, without any knowledge of how I got there, waking up in the morning in a graveyard. People do pretty dumb things when they’re drunk.

  3. RTaylor says:

Since he probably ruined an expensive casket anyway, I would have cleaned him up, put on a cut back suit garment, crossed his arms, and left him there. I’m sure that waking up under those circumstances would be memorable. Wouldn’t that make a heck of a video?

  4. Mr. H. Fusion says:

Not Ima !!! Hey, isn’t he a lawyer? Boy, would that make a good lawyer joke if it was Ima found in the casket.
