I’ve opened up a forum on the Cagematch forum to discuss personal problems with the blog layout running under WP 2.02. Some people are complaining about things I cannot duplicate including the failure to work at all with IE 6.
Please make a comment so this can be resolved ASAP. Go here.
NOTE: From 4 PM PST onward tonight I’ll be playing with different looks and templates. Check in often if you want a goood laugh.
Umm … I’m running IE 6 and it works fine … only thing is the bottom post tends to get cut off messily before the bottom of the web page.
And the “Mercenary Army post is randomly in Times New Roman ….
time to switch to Firefox? I did fire up IE just to check.
except for what #1 said it works fine
Safari 2.0.3 and all’s well.
Hey John, I’d like to help with your blog design if you are interested. I am no black belt ninja when it comes to wordpress themes, but I might consider myself a brown belt working towards black? I have done quite a few websites based entirely on WP2 (including completely converting wordpress into a CMS rather than a blog tool). I am pretty familiar with the template system and can make it do pretty much anything you would need/want (within reason). I’ll do it for free, just because it would be fun. I have done some work in the past for people you know. E-mail me and I will share more details with you.
P.S. I spent about 10 minutes trying to track down your e-mail but couldn’t find it… that is the real reason you get no spam! nice work on keeping that a secret.
joe ..i sent you a note
Not working with IE6 a problem? Sound like a good security feature to me. Anyone stupid enough to still use IE should be denied access 😉
YAY…
something that dont work under IE, but looks fine with FF…
THATS a wonder in its own relm.
And I thought he was raising the font sizes just for us old guys.
Sometimes the current site will not let me see the last post, and backing off to “yesterday” (or the day before) doesn’t show it either.
Otherwise it’s fine….
(IE6)
Regards
A post with a good number of comments (usually over 10) will consistently cause the bottom of the page to cut off in Safari. I usually have to switch to Firefox just to post because the submit button won’t show up at that point. Firefox may be a good browser, but it doesn’t integrate with OSX very well, and it doesn’t have the niceties like auto spellcheck that cocoa apps have.
It works fine in mine, but IE6 is wierd sometimes. I code web pages for a living and my boss uses IE6. When he checks the pages, they sometimes do wierd things that I can’t duplicate on my version, like randomly yellowed text input boxes. I still haven’t figured that one out.
oh, and #8, I can tell you from experience, that happens a lot to me, then I have to go back and put in a custom css file just for IE because I can’t get it to look right in both otherwise.
I like FF, but its darn slow on my computer … its ancient, and IE6 uses much less resources … must upgrade … seriously, #7, that’s the only reason I use it.
