We’ve previously written about a fourth grader’s fight to wear mini-skirts to school, now it’s the teachers’ turn…
ABC News Online – May 1, 2006:
A Chinese university has banned “super-short” skirts on its teachers, citing the need to maintain a certain distance from the students, state media says.
Only days after the new rules were announced at the Shanghai Normal University, they have triggered a heated debate among its more than 200 female teachers, the Beijing Times says.
It did not specify what “super-short” means.
Some of the teachers have complained that they too have a right to be fashionable and a number of students support them, the papers says.
“We like teachers with personality, and especially teachers who dare show their personality,” a student, whose name and sex was not specified, said.
Now all those Chinese fathers have an extra reason not to go to those teacher-parent interviews.
Anybody ever see one of those Asian “up-skirt” photo sites? No wonder the students are supporting the teachers: raw material.
Oh, the memories!
A teacher who loved skirts was the only reason I survived high school spanish.

Where did you get the illustration of the teacher and the frog? I love it!
Hmmm… short skirts, adolescent hormones, being asked to stand up and write something on the blackboard during class…
When I lived in NY I went to the school of the nude. It is a expensive private colledge and all the teachers and most of the students come to class in the nude. sex ed, as you can imagine, was amazing!
