A man raising his 18-month-old daughter alone tried to sell the little girl for $7,000 so he could make improvements to his house, police said Friday.
The man from Ashwaubenon, Wisconsin, tried to sell his daughter to a Grand Chute couple, who helped authorities in the investigation, Grand Chute police Chief Ed Kopp said.
“He was having difficulties raising the child alone and wanted to use the money for some home remodeling,” Kopp said.
The girl’s mother left the area several months ago and is not in the country, Schneider said.
The wonder of a traditional family. Good thing the girl wasn’t in the hands of a gay couple that really wanted her.

I totally agree with the last remark. I really don’t understand what people have against gays. Lots of people claim that it goes against the teachings of the bible but I’ve never read anywhere in the bible nor the Koran where gays are forbidden. Just more people using religion to back their own beliefs.
Well, the problem I have with the gay comment is that it is totally out of place. The girl wasn’t adopted by the father, so uhm it was pretty much what I would venture to call an “ignorant comment” which was “looking for attention” for the writer’s personal values. I support gay rights, including adoption, but the way to go about it isn’t to crudely throw the idea around into convos where it doesn’t even fit.
Yes, you’re right–all the traditional families are actually dysfunctional so we should break them up and send their kids to live in stable, loving gay transexual vegan polygamous communes. *That’s* what kids need.
