Tom Cruise and fiancee Katie Holmes won Razzies for “most tiresome tabloid target,” but it was Jenny McCarthy and her little-seen “Dirty Love” that dominated the 26th annual worst-film honors, winning four of 10 categories Saturday night, including worst picture of the year.

The film, which earned just $58,116 at the box office, was pulverized by critics upon its very limited release in September. “Hopelessly incompetent,” wrote the Chicago Sun-Times’ Roger Ebert. “Excruciatingly inept,” said the Village Voice’s Mark Holcomb. “Clings to the gutter like a rat in garbage,” observed The New York Times’ Stephen Holden.

Phew! I haven’t seen any of the “winners” in the article.

I don’t think credit is deserved, maybe something like *censorship*.
This just proves that there are 2 people who have no talent in the movie making industry.

  2. GregAllen says:

Dang that Jenny McCarthy! Just recently I was watching her on some old-TV show and I said to my wife… I think she could have a good movie career. I said this with great authority!

Then, she gets the Razzie award! My cred took a nosedive in our house.

She wrote the screenplay, right? Movies often suck when the main star also directs or otherwise guides the project.

It’s like when a writer is also his own editor or publisher. It usually doesn’t work.

  3. Me says:

Jenny has a “I’m so hot you’re lucky I even look at you” arrogance that shows so much I don’t even find her very attractive beyond still shots.

Of course, even worse is Anna Nicole Smith who is so stupid that it even shows in stills.

There are plenty of hot yet intelligent women to do movies with.

I thought Dirty Love was just mediocer bad and wasn’t worth my time. But if it’s 3 Razzies bad that it should be worth a look.
