Click the picture to see the video. Sort of the same vein as SNL’s “Lazy Sunday” video, but it’s still pretty funny!

Update: Nate has found an update. The link above is fixed!

  3. david says:

My type of woman: beautiful, smart, confident, humble, unpredictable and fun. One in a million.

John, if you can pull strings, man, get me a date with her…

I’ll forever be indebted to you

  4. My respect for that woman has just increased a thousandfold.

  5. estacado says:

They’re trying to bank in on the Lazy Sunday phenomena. Not as funny as Lazy Sunday. I didn’t like it that much. It feels as if they’re trying to rip-off themselves. Better if they come up with something more original.

  6. tom says:

in the future, hopefully, all rap like this will be laughed at.

if you took natalie out and put in a real rapper, this would be number one

  7. Gregory says:

To be fair the guys behind it and Lazy Sunday (Lonely Island) have always done this kind of thing. It’s what they do.

The trouble is that they have set a really high bar with Lazy Sunday, and will have to work HARD to beat it.

This however is all about NP, which is the point really, and it’s damn nice to see some funny stuff coming out of SNL once again.

  8. ranron says:

John Dvorak, this has nothing to do with this post, but I just want to comment on how terrific your new show “Cranky Geeks” is. The new show is amazing. Looking forward to the next episode and a website with an RSS link.

  9. Jon says:

These raps (lazy sunday, natalie portman interview) aren’t funny because it’s “nerdy people pretending to be hardcore rappers,” but because they are ludacris raps. Lazy Sunday is funny because it’s about cupcakes and Narnia. This one’s funny because of the contrast between the image people have of Natalie Portman and the content of the song. I’m also in complete agreement with Gregory. This style of video is what these guys do. The close-talker video and the lettuce video are both silly videos. This isn’t a “rip off” of Lazy Sunday. It’s just also happens to be a rap. They’re not even structured the same (where’s the chorus in this one?)

  10. paxik says:

Hi, what does actually the abbreviation “SNL” stand for? I know it from Jeopardy parody, which I liked. I’m from Czech republic so sorry that I don’t know these obvious things:)

  11. chris f says:

    SNL = saturday night live.

  12. Nate says:

Your link has been found. NBC is now hosting it themselves. Follow this .

  13. plonk420 says:

too bad the “borrowed sources” NBC talks about have better picture quality (and smoothness). their video compressionist doesn’t know JACK

  14. Gregory Schultz says:

Leave it to SNL to kill something that was funny! First one was great, now it’s been beaten’ to death by a stick
