Robertson Loses Seat on Religious Broadcasters’ Board
Christian broadcaster Pat Robertson, criticized by some evangelicals for comments about Venezuela’s president and Israel’s prime minister, lost a bid for re-election to the National Religious Broadcasters’ board of directors.
NRB President Frank Wright said there was no broad effort to distance the group from Robertson. But “there was broad dismay with some of Pat’s comments and a feeling they were not helpful to Christian broadcasters in general,” he said in Wednesday’s Washington Post.
And, he was a slacker!
A Robertson spokeswoman said Thursday that he had been a board member for 30 years but attended only one board meeting “due to his extensive schedule.”
ha ha!
The world will be a better place when Pat kicks the bucket.
ONE meeting in 30 years? Is there any money that goes along with the seat? If he is that interested in participating then why the heck even bother accepting the seat?
Answer: The Lord works in mysterious ways.

uuhhh, could you rephrase that please
The current book I am reading, “The Left Hand of God” by Michael Lerner, had a line that really resonated with me:
“Religion is just a way for people to accept what they believe they cannot change.” (p. 82)
People are in a world where they feel powerless to today’s version of God: The Market. This God’s first commandment is “remember the Bottom Line, there is no other line before me.” People live in fear and so they flock to the Republican Party that assures them of safety as long as they get their votes. Pat Robertson is a fear mongerer who preys on people’s fears for his own stature.
I highly recommend the book.
“uuhhh, could you rephrase that please”
Ha! OK. When Pat ROBERTSON dies and turns to worm food, a dark cloud will lift from the earth. Just a small one, but still.
1 meeting in years? Who does he think he is – deLay?
