Olbermann devotes a portion of his show to make fun of O’Reilly by nominating him “Worst Person in the World.” Fighting childish with childish, though at least it is amusing.
O’Reilly: “The following media operations have regularly helped distribute defamation and false information supplied by far left Web sites…”
Olbermann: “You call it defamation, Bill. We call it precise quotes from your show.”
It is becoming harder to tell the difference between news shows and the Daily Show.

the OReilly Factor isn’t a news show, it’s a tabloid/opinion show, and it shouldn’t be taken as one. Nothing wrong with that, most of the “prime time” shows on cable news channels are.
All these guys are douches
Keith Who?
A clear case of ratings envy!!!
The clock is ticking on Keith. The end is near.
If you calculate margin of error John might be the only guy watching Olberdone!

Nick, you hit it right on the money. O’Reilly is laughing all the way to the bank. Sounds like alot of sour grapes on the part of other commentators who wished they had O’Reilly’s numbers.
I don’t watch either of them, but I like how conservatives trot out ratings as if that’s somehow an argument, as if that somehow grants you legitimacy. Wasn’t Fahrenheit 911 the highest grossing documentary ever? Does that mean everything in it is correct? I believe Ann Coulter and Al Franken both put out best selling books. Surely they can’t both be right.
So, judging by that list America is hardly watching any news at all (ostensibly there only about half-a-dozen _actual_ news shows in there). That figures. Note that anything with a proper name in the title should probably be regarded as Op/Ed and not news.
I was just pointing out that Olberdone is a flea on the ass on cable news programming.
Speaking of Michael Moore, how are those 2,000 shares of Halliburton stock he OWNS doing?
When is Oprah going to have a sit down with Mr. Moore?
Greg, 911 was the most brazen manipulation in the history of mankind. It was an inside job. The only reason you don’t know this is because you don’t want to know.
go to 911truth.org.
That the government masterminded 9/11 is NO DOUBT.
The only question is WHY? The only good thing I can say about the “terrorists” (aka Bush Regime, et al) acting on 9/11 is that they CAUSED TO MINIMIZE CASUALTIES in proportion to what happened. REAL TERRORISTS WANT TO MAXIMIZE CASUALTY. Also, 9/11 WAS FLAWLESS.
HOW DOES A MAN WITH A WALKIE-TALKIE LIVING INSIDE A CAVE IN THE MOUNAINS HALF-WAY AROUND THE WORLD PULL OFF THE GREATEST INFILTRATION OF SECURITY INSIDE THE UNIVERSE’S MIGHTIEST POWER.
Think about that, along with the one hundred other holes in the “official” account of what happened.
The people you trust to protect you and country KILL you. You don’t see because you don’t want to see. AND your too emotionally immature to see truth.
The ratings just mean that American is dumber than I think.
O’Reilly is a douche bag.
Wayne, you are correct: Fewer people are getting their news from television. The theory is that they’re getting it from the Internet, but my personal experience has been that most just don’t care about the news and choose other ways to spend their time.
As for O’Reilly, give the guy credit for not passing his show off as news. He says what it is and doesn’t flinch from it. Meanwhile, Olberman hides opinion inside his weak newscast, which is at a point of being unwatchable (worse than ‘bad’).
David, you are indeed disturbed. Do you really think our government would murder 3000 americans, just so we could go to war with Iraq. I guess you also believe we didn’t land on the moon, the CIA and the mofia killed JFK, and that fat free donuts aren’t really fat free. Give me a break, stay off the reafer man the 60’s are over.
It is about time someone throws some cold water on the Jon Stewart phenomenon.
You would think 10 million people watch this show with the amount of publicity this guy gets!
I find the Daily Show unwatchable!

“The ratings just mean that American is dumber than I think”
I kind of have to give you that one, over on ebay a sugar cookie that looks like Fox’s John Gibson is going for over $300.00. NUTS I say.
Shoot, if those ratings are correct, which I believe they aren’t, then yes there are a lot of stupid people out there. I suspect that the majority of people still get their main dose of news from the major networks at 6:30 PM which didn’t show up in the ranking.
Then, the Daily Show with Jon Stewart does not pretend to be a news show. It is satire and NOT in competition with real news shows. But, hey, isn’t most of Fox News shows also satire too? Funny shows they got, but I find them a little hard to watch for long.
nick
The size of the audience is not always a good indication of the quality of the show. Apparently Bull O’Rielly has very good ratings, but his show is crap. It is not a news program. It is not a magazine program. It makes for lousy satire. Most of the humor is lost on me, and many others. It is not good entertainment. It is not enlightening. I seriously wonder about those that see something in O’Rielly.
Now the Daily Show is good entertainment. It is funny. Stewart is very witty. The production is smooth. The numbers are not a concern. Sex in the City, the Sopranos, Monk, and Six Feet Under are all examples of well acclaimed shows that do not have big numbers.
Now nick, I searched for those Nielson Ratings you listed above. I can not find them. I didn’t spend all night at it, but maybe you could share the URL with us. Thanks
Defininetly a partisan issue, but Keith does a good job with the news, and tells it how it is, and Bill O’Rielly is always make news for his assholism’s, its about time somone gave him a taste of his own medicine.
Wow, you guys are masters at confusing opinion with fact. I’m sure Olberman and O’Reilly would hire any of you as producers.
Chris Matthews was very rude to Michelle Malkin and her internment book. O’Reilly doesn’t let his guests talk very much, but even he doesn’t do what Matthews did. Olbermann cheered Chris on after that interview.
Michelle Malkin is a fartbag. Like O’Rielly, Hannity, and Coulter, she invents things. She repeats them so many times that she actually starts to believe in them herself.
Steve,
You have a good point. The last time someone told me that Ann Coulter was hot, I made an appointment to have my eyes checked. She’s a bone rack. Malkin is a fart bag. And yes my wife is reading over my shoulder.
O’Reilly is OK..he’s just full of himself. He means well, but he should back off on who’s looking out for the kids. Nobody really gives a crap about kids, other than their parents, and even a lot of them don’t. What O’Reilly should be concerned about is corruption in business and politics. Start with money laundering ,and don’t tell me the CIA aint in it up[ to their eyebrows.
