Bob Schieffer says that since March, when he replaced Dan Rather as interim anchor of The CBS Evening News, his goal has been to “find the best reporters that we can and get them on TV.”
“It’s no reflection on Dan, but it was time to juice this place up,” he says.
Whether the increase in women has affected viewership can be debated, but so far this season, CBS’ News is up 2%, while NBC is down 7% and ABC down 8%.
It’s about time they got a clue! It’s TV for goshsakes.
Bob had Supreme Court reporter Jan Crawford Greenburg doing some of the questioning on Face the Nation on Sunday. She makes me dream about the Supreme Court at night.
As long as they don’t use a fake, sing-songy delivery, it’s fine. Terry Moran drives me crazy. (And Jim Lampley, the Speedy Gonzalez of the Olympics.)

Im with Steve.. Naked news all the way. They should do a real nightly newscast that way. I think I’d even pay for that. Hmmm.. Maybe I should go talk to Howard Stern.
