Is Bill Clinton replacing Microsoft prez Steve Ballmer or is he just interested in being on the board? What do you think?

VoIP Watch: Clinton in Redmond..Is Ballmer Stepping Aside

Sources near Microsoft headquarters report that over the past few months the ex cigar smoking prexy has made trips to Microsoft headquarters and has been interviewing for the top slot as the company looks at ways to transform themselves for the future. Given the global implications of technology, having a leader that is an ex country president would be massive.

  1. Steve says:

My guess is that Clinton noticed all the hot Asian chicks around Seattle and wants some action.

  2. Smith says:

Having Clinton run the company would be folly. But including him on the Board and using him as point man for international marketing would be a tremendous move for Gates. Bill Clinton would be the single, best investment Gates could make for dealing with the European Union’s grievance with Microsoft.

  3. RTaylor says:

Clinton is a big fund raiser for the Democratic party and other causes. He also likes to be visible and around celebrity himself.

  4. Mike Drips says:

I can’t imagine Clinton lowering himself to work with the likes of Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer. If he were ever to take a position with Microsoft, it would be a major step up for Microsoft and a major step downward for Clinton, so I don’t see this as a situation that is going to actually take place.

  5. Jeff says:

Personally, I’d be honored to work with Gates and Ballmer. It’s staggering how people hate them not for any good reason other than their success.

  6. Steve says:

“It’s staggering how people hate them not for any good reason other than their success.”

It’s nice that you could join us Mr. Gates. Will you be staying long?

  7. Mike Cannali says:

Microsoft had better keep a close watch on their interns
