“Outbreak” of Fake Flue Shots — Besides the Chicago Tribune (just recently) only a few papers in the deep South arew covering this situation. You can certain that if Bird Flu ever breaks out that this sort of thing will be par for the course.
This year in Texas, U.S. Atty. Chuck Rosenberg said a Houston businessman, Iyad Abu El Hawa, and his alleged accomplice, Martha Denise Gonzales, were indicted on charges of giving fake flu shots. The two suspects were charged last month with conspiracy and tampering with consumer products; they had allegedly inoculated about 1,100 ExxonMobil employees as well as 14 nursing home patients. El Hawa and Gonzales have pleaded not guilty.

In the Texas case, a home health agency is accused of giving 1,000 Exxon-Mobile employees and 14 residents of a nursing home fake vaccine this fall. In Alabama, Dr. Zev-David Nash gave up his state medical license after accusations he gave fake flu vaccine to employees at company clinics in Montgomery this year and in 2004.

Instead of fighting the flu, a Montgomery doctor has confessed to faking it. The state board of medical examiners says Dr. Zev-David Nash administered dozens of bogus vaccines over the past two years. Now, he’s nowhere to be found.
Nash’s office on Wynton Blount Boulevard is empty. The doctor also failed to return phone calls from WSFA 12 News. Instead, a letter on the front door refers visitors to another practice.
The head of AIDS research at NIH says that drug firms are dragging their feet on an AIDS vaccine. The whole world is working on an AIDS vaccine http://www.iavi.org/ so you would think they could come up with something pretty fast. You can’t fake an AIDS vaccine. Hopefully they will come up with something soon. Time is running out for some people.
I got the flu shot in 2001. But man they just continue to screw this up year after year. I believe 2002 or 2003 was the first year they didn’t have enough real shots. Then I caught wind they were giving people shots with all kinds of weird crap in it, but not vaccine.
Now this.
What a damn corrupt system.

Miracle sounds great, but does this stuff work for everybody?

The magic potion line raises a red flag. If I had a magic potion for the flu, I wouldn’t be running ads. I would wait for them to come to me, relying on magic or the miracle of word of mouth. I wonder if Jesus is involved with the miracle of this stuff. This line compares it with sunsets and Texans. “But now I can tout the merits of the Panhandle’s good people, beautiful sunsets AND Allernon.”
It sound like really great stuff. Praise the Lord AND pass the Allernon.
Maybe this Dr. Abraham of Alleron fame can work some magic and miracles with the AIDS vaccine. If he can stop the flu I’m thinking what the hell, give him a shot at wiping out the AIDS virus. He could get $19.95 out of it with no problem. You could make billions and billions. You would be like McDonalds.
