Christmas truly is the time of miracles!
When a battery blew up in his face Dec. 9 while trying to jumpstart a tractor, Casey Connell was thrown back against the wall some 8 feet away.
Almost unconscious, he looked down and saw blood everywhere. “That didn’t worry me so much,” said Connell, a contract fencer and girl’s high school basketball coach. “I was more concerned about what the acid was doing to my face.”“The good Lord was looking out for me,” Connell said. “That acid was probably on my face about six minutes and it’s a miracle I’m not blind in one eye.”
Why don’t religious people think that god hates this guy? Why did the battery blow up in the first place?
julieb, I’m with you. Every time I hear “he’s so lucky, it was a miracle” about a person who nearly died after a disfiguring accident, I have to laugh. Exactly how do these people define “luck” and “miracle” anyway?!
In a silly way!
err… that was a response to Steve Newlin
