Iran: President Says Light Surrounded Him During UN Speech – RADIO FREE EUROPE / RADIO LIBERTY — Oh brother. This doesn’t sound good to me. What a freak. Hey buddy, did you ever think that this “light” was the house spotlight and a guy back there (union man) was controlling it?

What next? Thinking a trip up a Macy’s escaltor is God taking him to a higher level?

Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadinejad says that when he delivered his speech at the UN General Assembly in September, he felt there was a light around him and that the attention of the world leaders in the audience was unblinkingly focused upon him. The claim has caused a stir in Iran, as a transcript and video recording of Ahmadinejad’s comments have been published on an Iranian website, baztab.com. There are also reports that a CD showing Ahmadinejad making the comments also has been widely distributed in Iran. Is the Iranian president claiming to be divinely inspired?

  1. Just Me says:

Ya watched this nut job on CCN I think it was go on about the Light he sees about him and all. This nut job going to get a whole lots of folks killed. Talk about someone that should be wiped of the map. I nominate this crack head.

  2. Sounds the Alarm says:

    What an asshole.

  3. gquaglia says:

This guy is the true definition of the word wacko. If this man ever gets nukes, god help the middle east. And once again, Russia and France are helping him with his nuclear program in the name of peacefull power generation. If anyone believes that, then I have a bridge to sell you.

  4. Eideard says:

And he’ll soon have another True Believer next door. I wasn’t wearing my Cassandra suit back at the beginning of the Oil Anschluss in Iraq. Just a bunch of decades of study and experience.

50 years ago, anti-colonial movements in the MidEast were led by secular radicals and nationalists. Many were squashed by the US, covertly or otherwise — including those who came to power via election. The thug in the White House and his greedy band of reverse Robin Hoods have convinced many Americans that terror and security have something to do with what folks east of the Potomac all recognize as just another land grab.

The answer — all too often — is now going to be couched in the Koran. Folks on Arabian streets are saying the secular dudes had their turn. Americans get to reap the whirlwind — and whine about “why doesn’t everyone love us and respect us?”

It’s because of the thugs you keep putting in charge.

  5. Jon says:

What a nut. He needs to be dealt with ASAP.

  6. Kyle says:

Yeah, crazy, but is it as sensational as George Bush also claiming that God speaks to him, and he told Palestinian officials during peace talks to the BBC?

  7. Aphex says:

How is this different from when the US president said God spoke to him and told him to go to war?

  8. gquaglia says:

Eideard, what the hell are you talking about. You hate america so much that your post doesn’t make sense except to expound your hate.

  9. Karl says:

Just what we need. Another Assaholah!

Our guy thinks he is Richard The Lionheart, and this guy thinks he is Salidin. Being excessively religious is the sign of mental illness. Our guy hears voices and this guy sees visions. Maybe when they are out of power they can get together for a foursome. Have you ever noticed when they are on a mission from God, they never improve the lot in life of their own people.

  10. Thomas says:

How is George Bush claiming that God spoke to him different this Iranian nut ball? Let’s see, George isn’t the one suggesting that Israel relocate to Germany. George isn’t the one that instituted segregation between men and women in elevators. George isn’t the one that denied that the holocost ever happened. This guy is the poster child for religious nutcase. While George would actually have some trepidation in ordering a nuclear strike, this guy would not. Have some perspective people.

  11. david13 says:

Have an open mind. If you really want to know the truth about Light and God read this:

    http://www.peterussell.com/SG/contents.html

  12. AB CD says:

He says the Holocaust never happened, but if it did Jews should get a homeland in Germany or Austria, Israel should be wiped off the map, etc., and this is what bothers you?

  13. Kevin says:

Eideard, it’s a shame Dvorak hired a retard like you to be his blog intern. I’ve never seen you make a comment yet without saying something idiotic Do you have compromising pictures Dvorak or something?

  14. Obviousman says:

    Thomas, right on point.

To the other wanna-be Rambos, who will deal with Iran’s nutcase? Have you not read that by stealing Iraq, we prevented Russia from getting to Saddam’s oil. Now, Russia & China are merging militaries. Go into Iran & you may force their hand to back up their investments. Do you think we can beat Russia, Iran, & China?

George Bush is a christiam version of this Iranian “leader.” A dangerous religious fanatic & fundamentalist.

Have any of you tough talking wimps who’ll never volunteer to serve in the armed forces forgetting that there are no troops left to fight Iran? & is their anyone still stupid enough to believe that the USA will go after because of freedom & not because this insane man is sitting on massive amounts of oil? How many times does a song have to beplayed before you fascist fake patriots recognize you’ve been suckered by a nutcase president? This is the Crusades, but for oil & with high tech toys for boys. Glad to see the chumps spout what’s beamed in through the Fox news channel antennas attached to their pea-sized brains.

  15. Obviousman says:

gquaglia back as always with stupid remarks. You have an endless supply, I see.

  16. James Hill says:

I’d guess that light is the flash of the nukes Israel will eventually drop on Tehran.

As for Eideard, while he does swim in the shallow end of political thought, he’s doing a fine job. As for you gquaglia, you’re a moron. Even if you’re right you can’t win a debate. I’d strongly suggest finding another blog to post on: You’re not skilled enough to hang around here.

    Oh, and Merry Christmas.

  17. gquaglia says:

Thank you Mr Hill for your gifted insight. It would bother me if I really gave a shit what you thought about my skills. Eideard is an American hater, plain and simple. His posts and remarks speak for themselves.

  18. AB CD says:

All this talk about war for oil. If it was getting oil that people wanted, they could have just dropped the sanctions on Iraq and let them trade their oil freely. That would have gotten America its lower prices.

  19. John Schumann says:

Thanks david13, for the peterussell.com link. He seems like an honest fellow.

  20. Pat says:

    Ed,

Whoa, that was some nasty flaming you took. But at least when you go to bed you don’t worry about that biblical commandment that said something along the lines of “Thou shalt not kill”. You can find that quote on one of the many Ten Commandments the neo-cons like to post on Court House steps to remind them that they are insignificant.

But when these hypocritical chest thumpers get going, nothing stops them. Because they have GOD ON THEIR SIDE. So does the President of Iran, but our God is bigger then his. I think bin Laden claims that God is on his side too. I know Pat Robertson believes God is on his side. Maybe that explains why there is so much global warming.

  21. Name says:

    AB CD…

I think it had more to do with the potential trading of Iraq oil in Euro’s instead of US Dollars. The war machines wound up big after that announcement. And, I think Iran is suggesting the same thing. On the other hand, any religious fanatic is bad new. Too bad Saudi fanatics are the Bushes bestest friends…

  22. James Hill says:

gquaglia, good job. You use an appropriate tone in addressing your problems with Ed, and not your usual crap.

Besides, just because I owned you is no reason to get pissy.

  23. Obviousman says:

gquaglia is like the neo-morons. All hot air & no historical factual basis.

If anyone wants to read a real conservative’s views:

    http://www.vdare.com/roberts/all_columns.htm

  24. gquaglia says:

    Obviousman
Neo moron, hmm, never heard of that one before. My original post called Mahmud Ahmadinejad a wacko, do you disagree with that, or do you disagree with the fact that I think Eideard hates america as is quite clear is his posts. If so then I guess I am obviously a neo moron, and proud of it.

  25. Eideard says:

gc — you’re one of the better examples as to why, when someone asks me, “aren’t you a patriotic American” — I respond, “I’m embarrassed to admit I’m from Earth.”

What do I hate? Superstition, hypocrisy, greed, racism and other bigotry. If the politicians of any nation wish to use those “qualities” to further their careers, I “hate” them. In truth, I would also add “contempt” to the sum — for those who so willingly trot along behind — picking up their dung and declaring it to be manna.

Rant over. It’s a lovely day in my neck of the woods, today. Midge hatch feeding a swarm of cliff swallows over the bosque, this morning.

  26. Angel H. Wong says:

I see a lot of ppl complaining about this but I bet they would go silent if Pat robertson said that.

  27. gquaglia says:

“I see a lot of ppl complaining about this but I bet they would go silent if Pat robertson said that.”

Robertson is as wacky as the Iranian President.

  28. Perry says:

The truth of the matter is this: You can grow real good Hops and Barley in the Mideast. The Mideast will become the Beer Capital of the world, overtaking Germany and England, and we want the financial capital.
