Help me out. Christmas time is almost here, and I only need one more item to finish redoing my kitchen. I’ve decided that ovens, stovetops and microwaves are passé. All I really need is one appliance to cook breakfast, one to make lunch, and one to make supper.
I’ve already introduced you to the Egg McMuffin Maker.
Today I discovered the remarkable Hot Dog Rotisserie.
Now if I can just find a device to fix supper, I’m set. Do some searching and let me know what you come up with. But remember, it has to be a device that will fix something you’d be happy to eat every day for the rest of your life, like Egg McMuffins and Hot Dogs.
LOL I just bought one of those toasters….maybe i should get the hot dog thingy!
Chicken Wing maker:

Years ago I worked with a guy that would stop by a convenience store every morning and would buy 2 hot dogs for breakfast for $1. The dogs had been on the rollers all night and the onions was chopped from the previous day. Every time I see those wiener rotisseries I imagine I smell that breath of his.
A George Forman Grill of course!
The Presto Pizzazz pizza oven:

You can joke about the Presto, but that thing really works, i.e., bake a pizza from scratch in 15 minutes. I bought one for my dad and he loves it. He even started making his own dough. And it’s lasted years, I bought it for him about 6 years ago.

Sandwhich maker
Of course you can eat a sandwhich every day! Grilled cheese, ham and cheese, baby reubens, cubans, italian, salami, roast beef, etc.
I live in the town Eau Claire Wi. where the Presto Pizzazz was born.I got to meet the man who developed the original Salad Shooter. When you are talking pain in the ass products to clean and store you can’t beat Presto. They also own a company that makes doggy diapers…no kidding.
My uncle owns one of these hotdog makers. Best hotdogs I’ve ever had! Yum.
Oh, please…
Toaster Oven!, of course!
Bake, toast, burn pretty much anything ya’d wanna eat.
And some things ya wouldn’t…
Just be careful of ANY plastic around the outside while operating/cooling-down…
Easy Bake Oven?
You can get wooden fish for supper.
Made of solid, non-toxic colors/finishes. Made in Germany. Fill your basket with the best wooden food available!

I guess this is sort of like wax fruit. It looks too good to eat.
You also might want to check at ebay. I caught a little ad blurb. Maybe you’ll find wood Chinese food for less than the German wooden fish.
Wood fruitcakes might be a hot seller.

I have heard that Spam quesadillas are supreme from a multi-zillion dollar cooker. Put a wreath over it and start a family tradition! The good thing is that if you consistantly eat the items produced from your new kitchen cookers your family might be able to use the wreath at the viewing, right before they plant you. What exactly does “non-toxic” mean? I feel certain this product produces non-toxic food items…don’t you?
GEORGE FORMAN GRILL!!!
yeah, its stupid and its a cliche, but dammit, they work.
ps – get a waffle iron while you’re at it.
Ron Popeil’s Amazing Showtime Rotiserrie Oven of course.
http://www.ronco.com/
Buy the six star+ cutlery set, Popeil’s Pasta Maker, solid flavor injector and don’ forget the Dial-o-matic food slicer.
Hey terrific, another labor-saving appliance! I have a couple of clever gadgets like that, gathering dust. Anybody want one?
(if you really want to know, one of them is a motor-driven mixer for individual drink servings. I didn’t buy it, it was a gift. Honest.)
I guess I’ll try e-bay.
My favorite not only isn’t made anymore, Rival doesn’t even remember they made it. Back when they got the Crock Pot really rolling out the door, they offered a variant for a couple of years — called the Crock Oven. Heavy, ceramic and cubical — you could hit it with a high temp to get it going, then, knock it down to a low temperature while you were at work all day. You put whatever covered dish you wanted to slow cook inside.
Bought mine in 1963 and it’s still going strong!
Yeah I like the crock pot, too, for a few things… they are of course good for time-shifting meal preparation, if one needs to do that. Does it really make better meals that way, though? I have to say I don’t really see all that much difference between a lot of food cooked in one of them for six hours, as compared to just being simmered in a pot over a stove burner on low for a couple of hours. Often I just don’t want to wait.
Could it be there’s a marketing myth built up around this product in that regard?
Or is it just that my taste buds aren’t very gourmet-compatible.
Don’t put frozen peas in a slow cooker meal until the last hour or so, or they’ll turn a yucky brownish color, like the canned ones (unless you like those).
Okay. I would recommend something that provides veggies cause the first two are both protein based foods and the veggies is very important.
