From Strewth in the Australian:
VALE Patrick Lichfield, photographer nonpareil, who has died, aged 66. Strewth recalls one of a list of amusing Lichfield anecdotes. Lichfield reported a conversation he’d had with one of his models-girlfriends who’d gushed how she envied his privileged upbringing in a stately home and his education at Eton. He told her school was a terrible experience with bullying, fagging and general demoralising, and said he had a particular aversion to the toilet facilities, where the sit-downs had no doors. “How did you get in?” she asked.
