I was around and a thoroughgoing sci-fi fan when L.Ron Hubbard started in the direction of what became his pay-as-you-go religion. Part 1 was learning from the radio religion hustlers of the day. “Put your hands on the radio and listen to the sound of my voice. Feel the healing warmth of my words flowing into your body!”
That was easy because radios still had tubes and got pretty warm.
In Part 2, L.Ron got the idea of scoping out people spooky enough to be full-blown idealist idiots. “Draw a picture of a radio — put your hands on it and feel the warmth!”
If you thought you felt the warmth — he owned your bank account.
Why give him attention? WHY give anyone in hollywood attention?
There must be a genetic link between acting and moronic stupidity.
