They pulled a body out of one of these sailboats – man had severe head injuries while riding out the storm in sailboat.
The sign says speeding fines doubled when workers present. This is one lane of I95 blocked in downtown Miami

i cannot believe that..i mean a few days before it happened..everyone was like no biggie let me just leave home real quick..maybe go visit grandma while this storm passes through and then you look on the news..and see your rooftop surrounded by water..for that kinda shock to hit u instantly must take a life time to get rid of…please pray for these people!!
Everyone is praying to god for help, but isn’t god who did this? I’m trying to get it straight. When good things happened, they say “we were truly blessed by god” but when bad things happen, they don’t say “we were really fucked by god” they say, we need to pray to god. How does it work again?
I fell terrible about how all of those people out there are out there and survived that huge stom and esspessially those small little kids they were probobly scared to death and I would do any thing i could to help them!

Hi, I’m from New Orleans and temporarily relocated in Houston. I was touched by all of the people from around the world that have posted their prayers on this site. It is amazing how a tragedy like this can bring so many people together.
Someone said on this site that when when good things happen we are blessed by GOD. This is true, but if you read the prayer “footprints” it tells that when times are bad GOD carries us. GOD is carrying all of the people that were affected by Katrina.
Thanks all of you for your prayers and GOD bless each and everyone of you. It’s websites like this that help up make it through these hard times.
