I was clearing out some photos and realized I had a lot of pics of Ft. Worth, Texas including a slew from last year. Ft. Worth, is a gem of lost Art Deco art and buildings. There isn’t a photographer in the country that wouldn’t get giddy in Ft. Worth if given the chance. Besides a tonnage of lost Art Deco inslcuding the stunning Texas and Pacific RR station, there are all other sorts of buildings and motifs there too, many left abandoned. I’m always amazed by this unhearalded city. Supposedly this is the town where the “real” Texas wealthy live.
Nice pictures John, what camera do you use? I’ve lived in Fort Worth since 2000 and it is an undiscovered gem. (Unfortunately I’m not one of the “real” Texas wealthy, but much of the Bass family does live here).
Love you on TWIT.
Dave
Please fix your slideshows so they have “next” and “previous” buttons. We’re much better at deciding how long we want to look at a photo than a canned timer is.
Thanks.
There’s nothing to fix since the slideshow software has no such options and it’s the system I like the best.
As for the cameras. I use a lot of different cameras. Currently I use and recommend the Sigma SD-10 as an SLR, the Olympus 8080 as a semipro and the Minolta X50 as a pocket camera. That’s my current gear. The Ft. Worth shots were made with a Minolta A1.
I probably take more pics with the little Minolta X50 than anything else since I have it almost all the time. I’ve had it for over a year and have yet to find anything I like better. Here is my early look at the unit:
