gizmag Article: 345 horsepower, 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine powered Barbeque — Only in America!

That’s Tim Kowalec firing up Chrysler Group’s one-of-a-kind HEMI-powered grill at an event to announce the top five finalists in the company’s “What Can You HEMI?” contest. Until the event, the HEMI engine was only found in Chrysler, Jeep or Dodge vehicles. With the power and torque of the 5.7-liter V-8 HEMI engine, the grill can cook 240 HEMI dogs in three minutes and is covered by more than 330 square feet of steel. The contest involved people sending in concepts for machines that could be powered by a 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine.

If you don’t love that Hemi-powered Big Wheel, you have no soul. 🙂

Let me guess, 12 hamburgers to the gallon?

  3. Angel H. Wong says:

It’s too loud to hear the banjo music 😀

Better that than to wear a “Big car small dick” on a Hummer 😉

  4. Teyecoon says:

The contest should be entitled: “How much energy can you needlessly waste while maximizing pollution?”. Stupid ideas like this make high energy prices justifiable.

  5. Jonas Åström says:

And people wonder why there’s a lot of pollution in the US when they have to power a GRILL with a V8?! Oh my..

  6. Louis says:

Yeah, only in America people actually get money/time/resources to produce such useless crap… I wonder how many Africans you could save from malnutrition/aids/illness with that kind of money.

    I know, I sound lefty, but still…

  7. mr manly says:

Who cares how many africans you can save. Think of how many people you can feed in the united states with bratwursts and beer with that grill.

  8. LOL @ MR Manly. You made me spit out my beer, I’m going to need you to pay for it.
    Thanks 🙂
