KRT Wire | 08/11/2005 | Britain moves to deport 10 Muslim militants This is long overdue. These jokers have long since worn out their welcome.

LONDON – (KRT) – Britain moved swiftly to implement its promised crackdown on “preachers of hate,” launching a series of early-morning raids Thursday to round up 10 Muslim militants, including Abu Qatada, a cleric who often is described as al-Qaida’s “spiritual ambassador” in Europe.

The 10 face deportation to their countries of origin under a package of new anti-terrorism measures outlined by Prime Minister Tony Blair last week.

The arrests came two days after Britain reached an agreement with the government of Jordan guaranteeing that any deportees from Britain would not be executed or tortured. Blair said Britain is trying to negotiate similar agreements with several other Middle Eastern governments.

Britain’s Home Office wants to deport Abu Qatada to Jordan, where he already has been tried in absentia and sentenced to life imprisonment in connection with a series of terrorist plots.

Love that caption!!!! What would happen if we were over in Jordan shouting “Death to King Abdullah” or similar settlements. I’d imagine deportation would be the least of our worries….

    BEN

I have no problem with this at all. They come to these countries, refuse to assimilate into the culture, then spew hate and death. Send them back, send them all back.

The U.S. should be doing the same thing. Anyone that is not a citizen should be deported the same way they are in the U.K. First Amendment rights are guaranteed for citizens, not visitors inciting hatred.

    Ben, I agree with you.

It’s too bad the UK can’t find some where to deport the young hooligans that making walking down the streets in broad daylight unsafe. It’s getting bloody well like Clockwork Orange in overdrive. I’m sure extending drinking hours well help.
