Here is the outfit the PSA flight attendants wore in 1970
PSA Pacific Southwest Airlines uniforms — Since writing about PSA and Alaska new sitees have turned up including this one that documented the hot PSA outfits I discussed in my essay here.

jeez that’s almost obscene!
Obscene? mybe by todays standards..which tells you something about todays standards.
Today’s stewardess must be called a flight attendant; she must dress like a school marm or be in pants. Either that or it must be a guy in the job. In today’s environment if these PSA outfits were presented to workers there would be an instant lawsuit. And while the right-wingers like to blame liberals for such political correctness there is no way the right-wingers would approve either. It’s like the whole country — as a culture of historic prudery — has rejected hot legs. And they each blame the other side. But neither side wants it! Hilarious.
MY EYES…my eyes….I think I’ve been blinded by the color combination.
Wow…legs were longer back then….
I always felt that not to appreciate physical beauty is the obscenity. I can’t imagine looking at a beautiful woman, clothed or naked, and thinking of it as an obscenity.
As for the color co-ordination– ah yes, now that you mention it. 😉
Yeah and that rod up the backside can’t be too comfortable. Thank god for the technical advances in the uniforming business; today’s air waitresses don’t have to worry about that sort of thing.
hot pink and neon orange. PERFECT!
