FIREFOX USERS: If you enjoy Dvorak Uncensored and want to bookmark it I suggest using an active or so-called “live” Bookmark as outlined in this diagram. When you do that your bookmark becomes “live” and changes as the RSS feed changes. Thus when you click on the Dvorak bookmark your drop down menu actually shows you what is running without you having to go to the blog. Hopefully there are things of interest, but if not then you can avoid an unnecessary visit. This is a very cool feature of the Firefox browser that not enough people use. The link to the Mozilla site explaining it further is here.

  1. Wesley says:

I very much love RSS/Atom/Syndication feeds, but I prefer them outside the context of the browser window. Mozilla Thunderbird is actually a very good RSS reader as well as an email client. I also like FeedDemon

  2. Ed Campbell says:

I’ve used Firefox right on through 3 different operating systems. I’m experimenting, this week, with Safari — because I want to try all the goodies in Tiger — and folks say the RSS Feed set-up in here is a delight.

Don’t know. RSS Feeds are yet another part of cyberlife I’ve avoided, so far. Like Chat. My brain is too eclectic, I guess. But, who knows? I may like it — if I ever get round to trying it.

  3. roborob says:

The live feed link is good, but my preference is the Sage “extension” which searches the page for feed links and ads to a navigation bar (easily opened and closed) on the left.

  4. Pat says:

Like Ed, I have yet to use RRS feeds. I also do not see the need for them.

I enjoy John’s Blog, yet I don’t consider it important enough to be updated at all times. And to tell the truth, I cannot think of any subject that I would need to constantly be updated on. If I have the time after I’ve done what I wanted to do, I go to my favorite sites. I don’t make anything on the web SO important that I go there first.

To those that use and enjoy RRS, please continue to enjoy.
