Daneen G. Peterson, Ph.D.: Blatant Racism by the Pro-illegal Alien Crowd
(Part 2) — Any of you are looking for cocktail party ammunition regarding illegal aliens, read this longish but jammed with details document. This is all footnoted material too. A mere tidbit follows:
Mexican Madrassas Promote Aztlan: A cruise ship hostess who had many assignments to the Mexican Riviera, said that over a period of ten years she made many friends with the local Mexicans who would repeatedly say: “When the revolution is over. When they have California back.” Apparently, “young or old, it seems they grew up being taught there would be a revolution some day. Somehow they would have California back.”(8) According to a Zogby, Mexican opinion poll: Mexicans say the southwest U.S. belongs to them, and they shouldn’t need permission to enter the US.(9)
Where do Mexicans get the idea that California belongs to them? It is a ‘dirty little secret’ that most Americans never knew existed. The fountainhead of such belief is the result of propaganda sponsored, supported and exported by the Mexican government. They ‘educate’ their children, in Mexican schools, using books filled with the propaganda that America ‘stole’ California from Mexico and that it is the duty of the citizens of Mexico to go to America and ‘reconquista’ (take back) California, along with the rest of the border states. Their text books are filled with outright lies about the true history between Mexico and America. “The Mexican government considers these textbooks a symbol of Mexican national pride, [and] guarantees a set to every Mexican child, and makes it a crime for anyone to sell them.” Those same textbooks are distributed to schools all across America by Mexican consuls.(10)
This sounds like a lot of paranoid ranting to me with little basis in fact. I would imagine that yes, some Mexicans believe in requoncering the Southern US, but most realize how ridiculous that is. This asertion that all Mexican children grades 1-6 are being taught that the Southern US is rightfully theirs seems to be suspect, at best.
If this were true, where are these textbooks? If every child is getting one, why isn’t an army of angery people marching on California and Texas? I see no hard proof, either in this article, or in the articles he sites (the ones that I looked at) that this truly is the case.
Sounds like a lot hate and fear-mongering disguised in rational arguments to me.
Damn, that helps explain the offical government handbook (comic-book style) on how to cross the border.
Here I was thinking it was just the Mexican goverment’s way of ensuring the steady flow of money back to Mexico.
I grew up in California and I knew that the border was only physical. I did not care whether there was border or not. Just growing up in the San Gabriel Valley was living in a modern day Spanish/Mexican American community. It may be different now but in the 1950’s everything was Spanish/Mexican American. Just about every city in California was named by the Spanish/Mexican American community. The Spanish/Mexican American community was never a minority in California.
I grew up in Mexico (from US and Spanish parents) and I went to Mexican schools, and nobody told me or I never have heard before someone to tell that thet Mexicans need to come to the US and take it back to Mexico.
The only think that it is mentioned is that California, Texas, Arizona… were part of mexico and the US took it by force.
There is no official campaign in immigrate to the US. Just turn on the Mexican TV. More that the 50% of the programs and more that the 90% of the Movies that Mexicans watch, come from the US, that reflect the American way of life and its culture. Is like watching any TV commercial, after watching them so many times, , you eventually want the product. And instead of making more Mexico like the US, they just want to come to the US.
Immigration also happens in many contras. In Spain, where jobless rate is higher than the US and a high number of North Africans enter as illegal, Spanish citizens approved a measure to stop granting the citizenship to babies born in Spain. You need to be born out of Spanish parents in order to be Spanish, Just like the Germans. In England they also have Illegal immigration Problems. In Japan… you name it. A poor country population wants to immigrate to a rich county not by government campaign.
I don’t know about the text book thing but living in California, I have hear this line about it belonging to Mexico SO MANY TIMES.
But when did Mexico actually rule California? Wasn’t it only for about a year, or like that, in the mid 1800s? It think Spain has a more legitimate claim on it.
They must be teaching this in Cuba also as the “Spanish” Cubans have done an amazing job of “infiltrating” the local & state governments to help ensure continued favored immigration policies from Cuba to evidently reclaim the land for Ponce de Leon. Heck, if you don’t speak spanish, you can barely function in many areas. It seems many immigrants don’t consider America as a country with it’s own culture and language but instead just a big hunk of land with generous people and policies on which to capitalize. Ironically, it kind of reminds one of the cowboys and indians.
In response to the above comments, please read my latest post with more than SIXTY references. Most of you are VERY NAIVE and need to read the following (Clue . . . it’s NOT just about hospitals): Hospitals ‘Mugged’ by Illegal Aliens
http://www.michnews.com/artman/publish/article_8693.shtml (July 12, 2005)
It is very clear to me that NONE of the responders to my thoroughly researched and documented work took the time or effort necessary to read my entire article. Nor did they follow up on any of the 25 references on which my work was based. Had they done that they would not have made the comments found above. I suggest the next time you folks pontificate about my work, that you have the decency to READ IT ALL first, so that you do not look so foolish.
As for the ‘cocktail circuit’ remark . . . cute but disrespectful to my work!
While your at it . . . ‘google’ me and read the rest of my work so that you will not continue to remain ignorant of the facts concerning the massive illegal immigration crushing our country.
I leave you all with this final thought:
As a nation, it seems we’ve already left behind our proud history, becoming more and more impotent, day by day. We seem to be sitting quietly on the sidelines, while our American culture and language are being ripped from our control! Why have we allowed the government of Mexico to execute a de facto war by encouraging millions of their citizens to illegally enter America? It is an ‘act of war’ that has reduced our country to nothing but a lawless territory, with little or no sovereignty left! It is absurd for America to continue to live under wave after wave of invading ‘armies’ of illegal aliens who will, by their sheer numbers, take over our society, culture and language! Perhaps it is time for “We the People” to rise up and take back our country!
