Hi girls!
I went to the NCTA, National Cable television Assoication “National” show this week. AS a prelude to the photo essay I’ll be running on PC Magazine online this coming Monday I thought I’d share a nice pic I took in the booth of the Playboy channel. To me, this is what computer trade shows have been lacking. By that I mean the smiles.
Nice pic, btw.
A long, long time ago I stopped going to computer trade shoes here in Portugal when the booths started to be filled with nice looking ladies – that happened at the same time when Really New Things stopped appearing in computing – the mid 80s – hence the need for the ladies. They looked nice, but when I want to see nice ladies I go to other places. A colleague of mine even commented that the show had more girls than an auto show! I’m no sexist and no puritan or anything, but I think using women as decorative items to show your wares is a bit low… Insulting, even. Not to women – to men – it shows how little the vendor thinks of you… IMHO
Will they be banned in Texas too?
John you made them happy.
I wish…These girls are camera mavens. Once the camera appeared they just naturally posed. Over the few decades in which I’ve been shooting models at these shows this new generation are the fastest to react and the most amenable to posing for shots like this. It actually makes me think that I’ve improved as a photographer. I know that’s not true.
I’m beginning to notice that young ladies tend to like older guys 😉
REALLY!!!
John:
You have a good eye!
Hey Now!!
