bull

I just had a talk with the FBI regarding this hacked phone situation. A media rep said he’s baffled by all the supposed FBI and government people who are reporting on supposed shut-down action against websites. He doesn’t know anyone who is actually doing this. He’ll get back to me when he finds out but he seemed as baffled as anyone. I’ll report more when I find out more.

Meanwhile, I’m finding some interesting coincidences. Many of the sites showing the data are also promoting the Hilton sex tapes (also supposedly “stolen”). Some sites claim they were shut down, but have popped back up selling the pics (which do look Photoshopped) or linking to sites like hotelheiress.com. A suspicious number of sites are www.paris-hilton or www.parishilton or variants. Did they pop up out of the blue. The site in Belgium — www.parishilton.be — registered less than a year ago and seem to have no other content.

So the FBI is cracking down, yet there is no press release. No official speaking for the FBI. The bloggers and many newspapers are reporting this as gospel. Much of this stems from Drudge who wrote:

Private telephone numbers of celebrities have been unleashed on the Internet after an apparent hacking into Paris Hilton’s T-MOBILE SIDEKICK Address Book, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

The FBI has opened an investigation into the hack, a government source said.

What government source? What FBI agent? Where is the press release? Where is the announcement of an investigation? This isn’t the secret police. And why would they get all worked up over Paris Hilton? And if other phones were hacked then where is this information?

If I was writing a novel or an episode for Alias I might stage it so the Paris Hilton hack was a smokescreen for other hacks in the background. But I think not.

My question is. If this is a hoax, then who is behind it and what can be done about it?

  1. Greg K. says:

    > what can be done about it?

    Blog about it?

PS – I like your eloquent summary “more bullcrap”.

  2. Steve says:

If it’s a hoax, wouldn’t the most obvious culprit be Ms. Hilton herself, or her P.R. manager?

Looks like she’s trying to extend her 15 minutes of fame.

  3. What exactly do you think is a hoax? The entire leakage of address book, notes and pictures? Or just the supposed Fed investigation?

  4. mikiev says:

Are the sites being shutdown by “the feds” – or the server-load when so many idiots go looking for this crap?

  5. John Doe says:

it’s actually real 🙂 i called lil john and eminem!

  6. its 100% real

    http://www.parishilton.be/fred-durst-hacked/index.php

Fred Durst is the next “victim”

download the “nsfw” video clip and judge for yourself

none of the fred durst pics are .psd and same for the paris hilton pics they are 100% real

paris hilton also released a press release on this , why would she do that if this was a HOAX ?

and yes its true , I am sellin the paris hilton sextape on parishilton.be , for one reason and one reason only !

just look at my server stats ,someone has to pay for the hosting
