Woman sentenced to probation for driving while drunk on Listerine –At least she had fresh breath.

ADRIAN, Mich. (AP) — A woman who pleaded guilty to drunken driving after she drank three glasses of Listerine was sentenced Tuesday to two years of probation.

Carol Ries, 50, of Adrian must take a breathalyzer test twice a day as a condition of her probation, a Lenawee District Court administrator said. She also must pay $1,095 in fines and court costs.

Police suspected Ries had been drinking after she rear-ended another vehicle at a red light on Jan. 9. She passed one breathalyzer test but failed another that uses different equipment. Her blood alcohol level was .30, more than three times the legal limit.

Three glasses of Listerine? No way.

She just used a quick swish of the Listerine to throw off the breathalyzer.
