AVENTURA, Florida (AP) — A decades-old cargo plane went down in a lake in a Miami suburb Saturday, but the pilot and co-pilot climbed onto the fuselage and were plucked to safety by rescuers.
The Miami Air Lease plane — with the words “Eelect (sic) George W. Bush” running the length of the fuselage — had trouble with one of its two engines shortly after takeoff, said company office manager Alina Nodarse.

Makes more sense then someone unable to spell elect.
Is this what happens to the luggage that doesn’t make it to your flight?
Bryan, wouldn’t you expect them to add a hyphen at the least? Besides, letters are usually painted on, they don’t just fall off. I can’t think of vandals going around the airport or landing field scraping letters off 20-foot high planes.
