Global Warming News — I’m not a particular Global Warming freak and it’s nice to have sources for information that are broad-based. Almost anything about Global Warming, good or bad are posted here. Good resource.

Decent news site. I’ve suggested they add my favorite — because, like South Sea Islanders, my kin up on P.E.I. will be early adopters of inundation — http://www.c-ciarn.ca/index_e.asp.

That’s Canadian Climate Impacts and Adaptation Research Network (C-CIARN).

Discovery HD recently carried a fine documentary on one of C-CIARN’s oceanographic research series — pointing out the sad news that, while southern species of animals and birds continue to move North with the global warming latitude line, northern species will have nowhere to go!

I’m at a loss over this thing called “global warming.” The first “conference” about such things was about GLOBAL COOLING! But then things changed. However, being one of those who is interested in ancient history, especially the Vikings, I wonder if anybody has looked at why Greenland was used as a farming colony for the Vikings about 1,000 years ago.
I guess there was one whale of a lot of global warming back then. Just about the time Saint Brendan set about on his leather boats to “discover” America, too.
Probably all that was caused by the sneaky American Indians having those big Ford Expeditions and Chevy Suburbans and other huge SUVs making tons of pollution. Then they buried those SUVs so deep we’ll never find them.
    Clever, those Indians!
