Press Release just received. It’s kind of the kicker comment at the end that has me baffled.

The Republican parody Hes No JFK seeks to unearth the Democrats Funny Bone

New Yorkers with a bipartisan sense of humor, along with visiting delegates to the Republican National Convention, will discover whether Democrats have a genuine sense of humor when the Off Broadway production, John F. Kerry: Hes No JFK opens the week of August 29, 2004 at the Kirk Theatre located at 42nd Street and Ninth Avenue in New York, NY.

A proudly partisan parody that lampoons Democratic presidential candidate John Forbes Kerry, the play takes a toboggan ride through Kerrys life from his student days at Yale, to his Vietnam record and anti-war activities, to his days on Capitol Hill, and his current Presidential bid. From the opening scene where Senator Hillary Clinton reads from a Kerry tome and acknowledges she is already quite familiar with, Faking History, to Howard Stern asking Kerry whether his Heinz heiress spouse ever gets kinky with ketchup, Hes no JFK makes no apologies, pulls no punches and seizes the funny bone of those who can see past the partisan haze that envelopes the Democratic campaign.

Tickets are available through Telecharge 212-239-6200, or at the productions website www.hesnojkf.com.

Anyone who can prove he has had safe sexual relations with the Governor of the State of New Jersey, or his lover, will be admitted free.

I’ll give it a week.
