Google IPO Shares
While the media bashes Google for being flaky during this IPO “auction” here’s where you go to get shares. Also look here at the watchdog site and the Google Blog.

I, for one, am glad to see that Google is wrangling their IPO to assure that the company gets as large a slice of the pie as possible. Back in the day, piles and piles went to various middlemen and not to benefit the company. In the long run, this funding influx is good for the stockholders.

    As easy as 1,2,3

It looks as if this IPO will be stalled and delayed until further notice. What can Google do for now? Here are a few new ideas
    1. With the Disney Dream Desk PC, featuring a Mickey Mouse monitor, Google could design a cool Mickey ears Google logo and all Disney search engine customized for kids. This should keep Google bizzy and create lots of buzz.
    2. Google could start building Linux Google PC’s and extend their strong brand into desktop PC’s. Dell or Gateway or anybody else could assemble the things and Google could load them up with Google Linuxware. I’m sure they’d sell more than 100.
    3. Google could just issue Google Green Stamps, like the old S&H Green Stamps and promote products using Google ads. It might be better than waiting for rebates for 3-4 months.

  3. Jim Dermitt says:

Google’s offbeat approach to selling shares could also be a threat to business on Wall Street. I read this and thought, this IPO might be a suicide mission. We’ll see what happens. Hype is one thing, reality is another. This just in via RSS feed. Grim earnings outlook hurts tech stocks. There’s always lunch to look forward to, it just isn’t free! Good luck Google and investors, you’ll need it.
