A developer friend of mine sent me a note regarding my recent column on closing Microsoft. It was mostly a defense of Microsoft but contained this one paragraph which I found interesting.

One other tidbit you might find interesting: Microsoft may be using a tactic of incompletely documenting Windows APIs instead of not documenting them at all, as it used to do. Hard to say whether it’s deliberate, but we’ve run into this in a couple of areas and even submitted a complaint to the administrator of the antitrust settlement, who just denies the obvious in their response. (Even the online antitrust complaint form didn’t work — we had to snail mail it.)
